Gunther von Hagens‘ Exhibition in Rome

Scuderie del Quirinale Exhibition: Lippi and Botticelli

Both Filippino and Botticelli were born in the mid-fifteenth century in Florence (Filippini was born in Prato a small town very near Florence), so they were born during Renaissance, a period very fertile and rich mostly for the Art.
The Lippi grew up in the Botticelli’s workshop, but he wasn’t a simple busboy like everyone but he was the Botticelli’s pet and in a short time they became big friends until Filippino’s talent bloomed so much that he became a formidable competitor.

In fact Piet Mondrian was born in Amersfoort in 1872 and with Kandinskij, him can be defined the father of modern painting.  The Mondrian’s painting isn’t representative of the reality like we see, but is an art that can capture something that our sense organs cannot. Exhibition in Rome: Nerone

Jirí Kolár works in the museum of modern art in Rome

From May 9th at July 29th 2011, the museum of modern art in Rome (the Gallerja) will exhibit the works of bohemian artist Jirí Kolár.

Jirí Kolár was well-rounded artist, in fact he was a poet, a author, a literary translator and a painter; and his works are famous both arts and paintings. Jirí Kolár was a virtuous of communication by means of everything channel; which one was in able to express an expressive strength through the works; works so powerful and without any hesitation, that the artist was condemned to one year of prison and he was interdicted to many years at publication and exhibition. All of this for his work “Prometheus liver”.

In the Gellerja, museum of modern art in Rome, there will be showed his visual works created with his special collage techniques like confrontages or rapportages, where the words were replaced with images, or intercalage, images interpenetration, until the rollage, his most famous technique where the images were created by misaligned stripes, a perfect game of shapes in composition/decomposition.
