Free Art Museums in Rome every last Tuesday of the month

Every last Tuesday of the month everyone can visits art museums in Rome free, in fact after the incredible success of the past edition the Ministry of cultural heritage (MIBAC) has decided to present again the wonderful initiative “Tuesday in Art”. The opportunity of free entry in art museums in Rome e in all Italy should incline the people towards the museums and art places, places that in this period are going in the background and this is due to at particularly economic trend.
So the 29th March until 27th December 2011 the most important art museums will be open every last Tuesday of the month with extraordinary visiting hours in the evening (19.00 – 23.00) and mostly their will be totally free.
Below the art museums and art places in Rome, and in all around the Lazio region that participate at “Tuesday in Art” initiative:
- National Gallery of the Modern Art, Viale delle Belle Arti, 131 – Roma (RM)
- Borghese Gallery, Piazzale Scipione Borghese, 5 – Roma (RM)
- St. Angel’s Castle National Museum, Lungotevere Castello, 50 – Roma (RM)
- Diocleziano’s thermae, Via Romita, 8 – Roma (RM)
- Crypta Balbi, Via delle Botteghe Oscure, 31 – Roma (RM)
- Roman National Museum, Palazzo Massimo alle Terme, Largo di Villa Peretti, 1 – Roma (RM)
- Altemops Palace, Via di S. Apollinare, 44 – Roma (RM)

Valentine’s Day 2011: 2×1 in the museums of Rome

Do you already have plans for next Valentine’s Day? Today we want to suggest you a reason to celebrate this day in Rome: the loving couples can visit in many of the Capitoline museums with a 2×1 special formula.
On 12 and 13 February 2011 in fact, you can visit all the museums, monuments and archaeological sites state, buying only one ticket. Among the most famous attractions and museums of Rome, you must visit:
- The Flavian Amphitheater, better known as the Colosseum
- The National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art
- The Museum of the Middle Ages
