Till July 31st Palazzo Venezia will give hospitality to “Le Meraviglie di Roma antica e moderna”, an exhibition dedicated to Rome and to the perception of her held by artist and architect form age to age. The exhibition take places thanks to a collection offered to the Polo museale di Roma by the Archeological Library. Rome panoramas, her monuments, her classical and unknown shorten, papal and private factories, fountains and courtyards are the shining stars of this exhibition.

The Library exposed collection is a legacies collection . As a matter of fact, the BiASA’s (this is the acronym of the Library) collection have been gathered thanks to a sequence of notable legacies as the ones by Corrado Ricci, Alfredo Castellani, Alfredo Dusmet and Rodolfo Lanciani.
The exhibition shows drawings and surveys form XVI to XIX sec. Different age artists took surveys and drawing about the same monuments and palaces, so a very interesting thing to discover how different can be the perception of the same thing in different ages. Also architectural projects about some restructuring process of squares, palaces, churches and monumental compounds arouse a big interest for the roman history. From here you can understand, for an example, how the XIX c. pontiffs keep in regard the urban activities. (more…)

Visit Coliseum by night

Would you like to visit Coliseum in his fairy under flood-lights atmosphere? This will be possible starting from June till September, on Tuesday and Saturday, from 9 pm to midnight in the occasion of the operation for the “Estate Romana” The Rome Summer Festival.

Awesome! But this is not enough. During this summer will be opened more Colosseo’s areas for the first time in this millennium. I’m talking about the Ipogeo Labyrinth and the Attic area. The labyrinth will be opened only for 10/12 person a time. The handicapped person will be allowed to access here and the Attic area thanks to a new elevator. (more…)

Night at the Museums 2010: Planetarium of Rome

For the Night at the Museum planned next Saturday May 15 in Rome, are in programm various kinds of exhibitions, performances and events. Over 80 exhibition areas will in fact open free of charge, starting from 20.00 until 2.00 am on Sunday morning.
If you like astronomy, take advantage of this initiative to visit the Planetarium of Rome!

Treja Adventure, the adventure park in Rome

Treja Adventure is just 20 minutes far from the capital and has 10 different routes, plus an additional 4 to practice, classified by difficulty: green for beginners and children, purple, blue, orange, red and finally black for the more reckless people.

Visit Coliseum by night
