Posted in Exhibitions in Rome and surroundings - September 6th, 2011
Since 8th October until 29th January 2011 in Vittoriano Museum in Rome there will be the art exhibition dedicated to Piet Mondrian, so after the big success of Van Gogh’s exhibition in the Vittoriano museum complex there will be another Dutchman artist.
In fact Piet Mondrian was born in Amersfoort in 1872 and with Kandinskij, him can be defined the father of modern painting. The Mondrian’s painting isn’t representative of the reality like we see, but is an art that can capture something that our sense organs cannot. The monograph organized in Vittoriano in Rome is titled “The Perfect Harmony” and this is the best title to describe Mondrian’s works, that is works which represent a absolute equilibrium of connections between lines, colors and areas.
So the Mondrian’s works are much more that paintings drown on a drafting table, these result from many years of Mondrian’s studies which carried the artist to discover the real essence of the nature. Paintings that had inspired designer and graphic artist around the world.
You can visit the Mondrian’s exhibition every day in Vittoriano Museum in Rome, and if after the art exhibition you would enjoy in a nice restaurant of Rome we suggest this roof garden in the center.
